NOMINEES FOR MEMBER AT LARGE

Rachael Alling, BCaBA

Rachael Alling is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) who has spent more than 20 years working with individuals with autism and related disorders. Her connection to NHABA began in 2013, when she helped establish the organization and went on to serve as secretary from 2013-2016. Today, she works in compliance for an ABA organization serving individuals and families across five states, including New Hampshire. Rachael is excited about the opportunity to deepen her involvement with NHABA through the Member-at-Large position and contribute her experience and compliance perspective to the community. Outside of work, she shares her home in southern New Hampshire with her husband, two children, and labrador retrievers.

Sarah Ferreira, BCBA

My name is Sarah Ferreira. I have worked in ABA since 2016, becoming a BCBA in 2019. Over the past seven years, I have provided clinical services to learners and families while also supporting RBTs through training, supervision, and ongoing professional requirements. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the systems, relationships, and professional development opportunities that contribute to high-quality ABA services.

Meaningful progress for learners and families depends on care that is practical, individualized, and effective. Strong clinical outcomes require strong support for the professionals delivering that care. RBTs are essential members of the team, and investing in their success strengthens the quality of the ABA therapy being delivered, improves team collaboration, and supports the long-term growth of our field.

Throughout my career, I have taken an active interest in learning, exploring new ideas, and sharing knowledge. I value thoughtful leadership, accountability, high professional standards, and open collaboration. I enjoy helping others build confidence and competence in their work, and I believe professional growth is most effective when it is accessible, practical, and connected to the needs of the people we serve.

I am running for NHABA Member-at-Large because I want to contribute to the broader ABA community in New Hampshire and help strengthen connections among professionals across the state. In this role, I would work to support meaningful professional development and encourage collaboration among BCBAs and RBTs.. My vision is for NHABA to be a welcoming, engaged, and forward-thinking professional community that supports its members while advancing ethical, evidence-based, and high-quality services for learners and families.

Laura Kazmierczak, RBT

Laura joined the H.O.P.E. team in February of 2021 and brings a diverse background in early childhood education, Early Intervention, special education, and autism services. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2015 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a focus in Child Advocacy and Family Policy, and later earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with a focus in Special Education and Assistive Technology, in 2017.

Throughout her education and career, Laura has been drawn to work that is person-centered, intentional, and focused on creating meaningful opportunities for children and families. She was introduced to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis early in her career and quickly recognized the potential for individualized, thoughtful programming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism and their families. She pursued her RBT credential and transitioned into ABA full-time in 2017.

Since entering the field, Laura has had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, including RBT, Case Manager, Site Director, and Clinic Director. These experiences have given her a broad perspective on ABA, from providing direct services and collaborating with families to supporting clinicians, developing staff, and navigating the day-to-day responsibilities of leading an ABA clinic.

As a therapist, Laura found joy in creating engaging and individualized learning opportunities, often incorporating skill acquisition goals into play and everyday experiences. As a Case Manager, she worked closely with families to build trust, collaborate around meaningful goals, and help connect the principles of ABA to the skills and outcomes that mattered most to each child and family.

In her current role as Clinic Director, Laura oversees daily operations, supports staff development, collaborates with clinical teams, and helps families navigate their ABA journey. She is particularly passionate about helping families connect the hopes they have for their child with meaningful, functional opportunities for growth, both within the clinic and across the many environments that make up a child’s life.

Laura believes that the strength of the ABA field is rooted not only in the quality of our clinical practice, but also in our ability to listen, collaborate, continue learning, and advocate for the children, families, and professionals we serve. Her experiences working across different roles within ABA have reinforced the importance of supporting one another as professionals and creating a field that remains thoughtful, ethical, compassionate, and responsive to the people at the center of our work.

As a Member-at-Large, Laura would bring a perspective grounded in both clinical experience and organizational leadership, with a genuine interest in contributing to the continued growth and strength of the ABA community in New Hampshire. She would be honored to have the opportunity to listen to and learn from other professionals across the state, contribute her own experiences and ideas, and help support initiatives that benefit practitioners, families, and the individuals we serve.

Laura is excited by the opportunity to give back to a field that has played such an important role in her own professional journey and would be grateful for the opportunity to serve NHABA and its members. Outside of work, Laura can usually be found spending time with her family and her puppy, Bogaerts, a very large, very lovable Bernese Mountain Dog.

Mark Williams, BCBA

My name is Mark Williams, and I am honored to be considered for a Member-at-Large position on the NHABA Board. I have worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for nearly 30 years, including more than 20 years as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. For the past 13 years, I have served as the Director of Clinical Operations for the Recreational Education Center (REC), overseeing our New Hampshire clinic and two Massachusetts locations. My professional experience also includes working in public and private schools and providing home-based ABA services.

Throughout my career, I have developed a strong appreciation for the clinical and operational responsibilities involved in providing high-quality, individualized ABA services. My current role includes overseeing clinical programming, service delivery, staff development, clinical policies and procedures, and quality assurance initiatives. I am also committed to training and mentoring BCBAs and aspiring behavior analysts. In recent years, navigating the increasingly complex administrative and regulatory landscape of insurance-funded ABA services has become an important part of my work.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of collaborating with NHABA members, providers, and organizational leaders in a unified effort to advocate for individuals and families receiving ABA services in New Hampshire. Our work addressing insurance authorization practices, service limitations, reimbursement policies, and medical necessity standards has reinforced my passion for advocacy and the importance of having a collective voice. I believe that clinical decisions should remain individualized, evidence-based, and guided by the needs of those we serve.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be considered for this position and would welcome the chance to further contribute to NHABA's efforts. After nearly three decades in this profession, I remain committed to giving back to a field that has shaped my career.
